An introduction to a fabulous Miss Mar

Currently, my life has been a long string of humorous, disappointing, and humiliating experiences. All of these experiences have led to a lot of amusing blogs.

I currently work at a custom cabinet establishment. I also have been working as a nanny to my lovely 6 y/o nephew. He is a kindergardener that does a PM half day. We hang out in the mornings and play video games. A lot of times, we'll watch PBS or movies.

Often when I get to the house, the kid has something fun or special that he did the night before... or that morning. This morning was a little different. Slaving over a giant box of legos... he looked up at me. "Almost done!! Don't look!!!"

I waited patiently for a minute or two. He looked up at me and revealed. "I made my grave!"

Low and behold... there was a white square with red lego crosses on the inside and top. Below, he chose a tasteful green lego as grass. When asked why, he responded, "I dunno. It's for God."

The next question was naturally, "God wants you to make lego graves?"

His response: "Duh. I got balls!!! (Pulls out two super bouncy balls) GOD BALLS!!!! DODGE BALL!!!" **throws them**

My nephew isn't the only special person I get to deal with on a daily basis. I have an older sister (Clayton's mother) who is, on her best days, unbalanced. She has a bad pension for wanting to dress up the dog. She would love to do nothing but knit her (the dog) sweaters, buy pretty coats and put bows in her fur. Luckily, my sister's boyfriend COMPLETELY HATES the idea and refuses to let my sister dress Maggie (the dog) up. They've come to a compromise when Maggie came home from the groomers wearing a little frilly fabric around her collar.

Katie was so excited that she went out and bought 20 different kinds of fabric to make little strips for her collar. Currently, the dog is wearing shamrocks for St. Pattie's day. I can't wait to see what she has for Easter. Maybe a pink collar with built in bunny ears.
